Ginetta returned on the market, after an absence of 20 years, and presents the new  G60. The engine of the new G60 is centrally located, develops 310 HP and has only 1100 kg. The acceleration from 0 to1 00 km/h takes place in less than four seconds and the top speed is 265 km / h. The production will be limited to 50 units, and the starting price is 78,930 euros.

The Ginetta G60 engine is a 3.7-liter V6, taken from the Ford Mustang. The secret behind this model is the carbon fiber bodywork, the central location of the engine and the intelligent aerodynamics. Under the body of the G60 is a Farbio GTS, changed dramatically. Farbio is a British manufacturer of sports cars, which was purchased in March 2010 by Ginetta. First pictures of the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup

Porsche has released the first images and technical details of the new 911 GT3 Cup, a superior version of the already known GT3 RS, dedicated only for the races. The extreme version will be used in national and international competitions in the 2012 and 2013 seasons.

The new improved version offers a slightly larger fuel tank with a capacity of 100 liters, enough to prolong the race experience with several tours. A new braking system approved by Porsche and called PCCB Carboceramic is also available but only for the German championship.

The power will be supplied by the same 3.8-liter petrol engine with six cylinders, capable of developing 450 HP,  similar resources with the street version, the GT3 RS. The GT3 Cup comes, however, with a new exhaust system and a new catalytic converter.

The new Porsche 911 GT3 Cup will be available for the independent teams from September this year, at a price of 161,750 euros. The German car manufacturer expects that the new version will attract as many orders as its predecessors, which totaled 2,200 customers so far.

Brabus created the fastest convertible in the world

The tuners from Brabus have developed a package of changes for the Mercedes-Benz E-Class convertible. The model named 800 E V12 after fitting a V12 bi-turbo engine that provides 800 HP and 1100 Nm. The engine is mated to a five-speed automatic transmission, reinforced to withstand higher levels of torque. According to the Brabus, the maximum torque provided by the engine would be 1420 Nm, but the transmission can not support a value this high.

The maximum speed of the model is 370 km / h and the acceleration from 0-100 km / h is achieved in just 3.7 seconds. The sprint from 0 to 100 km / h is performed in only 9.9 seconds. To accelerate from 0-300 km / h, the Brabus 800 E V12 model needs only 23.9 seconds. In addition to being the fastest four-seater convertible in the world, the Brabus 800 E V12 is the most powerful four-seat convertible in the world.

e-Wolf presented the Alpha-2 supercar

The e-Wolf car manufacturer announced the specifications of the Alpha-2 model. So far, the model was called E-2, but the Germans decided to change the name and to launch it in 2012. The Alpha-2 will be equipped with two electric motors, offering a total of 375 HP and 800 Nm. With a powerful drive train, the Alpha-2 accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and can reach a top speed of 230 km/h. Although the engine delivers 375 HP maximum power, the continuous power is 187 HP.

The autonomy of the e-Wolf Alpha-2 is up to 300 kilometers on a single charge. The time load was not revealed, but is expect to be less than ten hours. It is possible that the model will be offered with a quick charger, but the Germans from e-Wolf did not give any details about it.

The cheapest Alpha-2 will cost 245,000 euros. The German electric car manufacturer has already a rich portfolio of such models, offering both electric scooters and transport or competition vehicles.

Volkswagen Beetle Black Turbo special edition

Volkswagen takes an idea from Porsche and announced a special edition Black Turbo of the latest model in the range, the new generation of Beetle.

Announced so far only in the U.S., the new Black Beetle Black Turbo has a 2.0 liter engine that develops 200 HP, turbo like the series version of the German model, but comes in addition with larger brake discs, with a retro section the rim, with 18 inch wheels and a rear spoiler. Obviously, the black exterior shade completes the offer.

The launch of the Turbo Black special edition will inaugurate the new preorder service of the Volkswagen USA. Thus, the customers are charged 495 dollars to reserve a Beetle, that amount that will be later deducted from the price of the car when it reaches the dealer. Smart Boxfresh – a luxury concept

For those who thought that the luxury that is available only in the upper level, where Rolls Royce and Bentley are operating, Smart, Brabus and Boxfresh wanted to prove otherwise.
The three companies have joined forces and gave rise to a concept created and named Smart Boxfresh. The collaboration is based on a Smart fortwo cabrio, modified by the tuners of Brabus and personalized by the British from Boxfresh.

The small model is individualized by the matte color of the body, by the aluminum superior finishes, the leather and the carbon fiber used in interior and by the graphic elements. The Smart Boxfresh concept could give rise to a series of extremely limited and exclusive city models that would be sold only in Great Britain.
Brabus is using this concept to demonstrate that it can customize even small cars like Smart fortwo.

BMW M3 Carbon limited edition

The Chinese car market has led many manufacturers in the auto industry to focus their efforts to meet the demands of the Asian consumers. And how do you do this, if not by launching special editions. The German car manufacturer, BMW, has embraced this trend and continues with a new offensive with a limited edition of M3.

If the Matte and the Tiger Editions have not been sufficient to retain the Chinese customers, the BMW officials have launched the new Carbon Edition. The new  special version of the M3 will be produced in only 111 units and will cost 1.23 million yen, the equivalent of 130,000 euros.

As the name suggests, the new limited edition will have a lot of carbon fiber elements, both on the inside and outside. The M3 Carbon edition is painted in Mineral White color and has the Carbon Edition logo. On the outside, the roof,  the front and the rear bumper, and side skirts are made ??of carbon fiber. To complete the exterior as a proper tuning, BMW opted for 19-inch aluminum wheels painted in black.

On the inside, the Bavarian model has leather seats with black carbon fiber-like texture and embroidered with white thread. Also, the center console has received a number of elements made from carbon fiber.

Audi presented the R8 GT Spyder

Audi presented the new R8 Spyder GT. The model will be produced in just 333 units, just like the coupe version and its weight was reduced by 85 kg, the total being 1640 kg. The Audi R8 Spyder GT takes 3.8 seconds to accelerate from 0-100 km / h and can reach a top speed of 317 km/h. The R8 Spyder’s body uses the Audi Space Frame technology and has a mass of only 214 kg.

The 5.2-liter V10 engine of the Audi R8 GT develops 560 HP at a maximum torque of 540 Nm. The engine has an aluminum block and a dry bath oil, while the frame on which it sits is made ??of magnesium. The solid panels around the engine are built of polymers reinforced with carbon fiber. The front spoiler is also made ??of CFRP, as is the case of the new rear bumper. Volkswagen Golf R Cabriolet Concept – official presentation

Volkswagen unveiled today at the Woerthersee festival a hardcore version of the Volkswagen Golf. Officially named Golf Cabriolet Concept R, it is only at prototype stage, with 270 horsepower under the hood and a dream for all fans of the German car manufacturer.

According to Volkswagen press release, the version is specially prepared for the annual festival where GTI fans gather and was created by the engineers of the sportive R GmbH division. The Golf R Cabriolet Concept is powered by an engine identical to the classic version of the Golf R: 270 horsepower and 350 Nm available at 2500 rpm. The Golf Cabriolet Concept R can sprint from 0 to 100 km / h in less than six seconds and can reach a top speed of 250 km.

Like the series version with classic ceiling, the Golf R Convertible Concept features a sport chassis and a lowered ground clearance by 25 millimeters. The 19-inch wheels called Talladega with size 235 tires hide blue color calipers and a set of performance brakes.
