Nissan 370Z Black

A couple of months ago Nissan announced the 40th anniversary model, the great looking 370Z mode. This photo that we got is confirming the car’s arrival, at Chicago Auto Show.  Now they are releasing the special edition for the European market. Europe’s 370Z Black Edition celebrates Nissan Z, and has many of the same features that distinguish its Yankee brother. It comes with beautiful darkened 19-inch Rays wheels, red brake calipers, red leather interior, some special badges and much more. The only difference is that in Europe you can get a second exterior color: while the American version can only be had in “quartz” dark grey. In Europe you can get it in full black.  There are 370 examples will begin distribution in April, after Geneva Show, for £33,645 (~$53k) price tag in the UK.

Hyundai 2011 Sonata $19,195

The new Hyundai 2011 Sonata will be on sale in dealerships in North America in just a few weeks and now we know the price tag. The “fluidic design” new challenger stakes a claim in the biggest segment in the U.S., and its price beings at $19,195. At this price tag you must add $720 for destination and delivery. The GLS sedan with a six-speed manual transmission is $500 more than the base 2010 model, but $200 less than the current class champion, the Camry. For your money you will get manual or automatic six-speed gearbox. The GLS and Limited are rated at 198 horsepower while the dual exhaust on the SE rounds it up to a nice round 200 hp. Plus, the car’s manual transmission GLS tops the segment in fuel economy for non-hybrids with a rating of 24 mpg city and 35 mpg highway.

Alfa Romeo Special-Edition MiTo for Maserati dealer network

Italianc ars are known for their exotic looks. Alfa Romeo has been a brand known for its jaw dropping car design.  Now the Italian manufacturer is creating a special eddition of MiTos. The car will be made in only 100 units and will be sold through Maserati dealers around Europe. Each is distinguished from the average MiTo by its Maserati Blu Oceano paint. Plus, another distinguishable item is the special plaque on the center console and “Alfa Romeo for Maserati” sill plate. This special edition comes equipped with top-of-the-range 170-horsepower, 1.4-liter MultiAir turbo engine, 18-inch wheels and rear spoiler, plus an interior decked out in sumptuous Pelle Frau leather and all the electronic bells and whistles on offer. SEAT Ibiza FR TDI

Once upon a time, diesel cars were considered slower than others. But not for SEAT. They have not given up on the idea of creating a very fast diesel. They are now releasing SEAT Ibiza FR TDI, with a turbodiesel punch. With its 141-horsepower force-fed four, the new Ibiza FR TDI hits 60 in 8.2 seconds and tops out at 130 miles per hour. In this mean time, it is returning 62.7 mpg on the European combined cycle, plus emitting just 119 g/km of CO2. Also, let’s not forget the XDS electronic differential and electronic stability control, all available for three doors or five.

Mini Countryman

Mini Countryman is the latest and much expected model, part of the expanding Mini range. Here is a leaked picture of the nice car. Mini Countryman is also called Mini Crossover and it is a little bigger than other Minis, plus it has 4 doors, plus the hatch. The “All4″ badge on the back, says the Countryman is AWD, a first for the brand. Countryman has attractive headlights and a new grille treatment. The front seems a bit influenced by Porsche Cayenne but it is still a Mini. Because 2009 was such a bad year for the economy, Mini decided to postpone the launch of Countryman. But now they are working on the official launching plans in US and Europe.

$220,000 Tata Nano

DC Designs has created a lot of rumour at this week’s Auto Expo 2010. Besides unveiling the Imperator and Ying Yang concepts, this Mumbai-based will produce the most expensive Tata Nano, set to worth 10 million rupee, which is about $220,000. They plan to overhaul the budget runabout, replacing all the body panels, brakes, suspension and interior components, along with fitting 20-inch wheels. They also want to change the 33 horsepower, 624cc engine with a 1.6-liter mill that’s able to propel the five-seat hatch to a maximum speed of 124 mph. They expect people from Bollywood to be interested in this project, and also the ones that are passionate about cars.

Subaru limited edition 2010 of Forester X Columbia

Subaru is collaborating with outdoor gear company Columbia on many markets. The latest dead is represented by the limited edition 2010 of Forester X Columbia. This standard steel wheel version for 16-inch alloys has fog lights, a roof rack, cargo tray, rear step panel, and a $500 voucher for actual Columbia gear. They will make 1,050 examples for a special offer that will go on sale in Australia beginning Monday, January 4. This gorgeous car will be available for pre-orders in no time and you will be able to take it home. The price will be about $33,990 AUD  and the price is not for US market.

2011 Honda CR-Z

Many people have been expecting news about 2011 Honda CR-Z. It seems that a video has leaked out with the new model. The 126-combined-horsepower hybrid eco-runner is spotted in the video. Here is a still from the video, showing the front side of the car. There are many more additional specs to come with it but so far this is what leaked on the internet. The front has a U.S.-sized number plate and looks quite sporty. This car is expected to be shown at the Detroit Auto Show.

2011 Audi Q5 hybrid

Audi of America President Johan de Nysschen said that he is not a big fan of fully electrical vehicles but that he will support the company’s efforts to join the new era. And now, Audi has finally and officially presented the eTron concept which will allow the automaker to build hybrid cars and venture into this segment with full strength. Audi has released a press release saying that they will create, in 2011 a brand new Q5 hybrid. This will be the first full hybrid vehicle created by Audi. It is also said that they will unveil the first car by the end of 2010.

BMW ActiveHybrid X6 and 7

BMQ has officially announced the new 5series generation of sedan models. They announced it last month in Munich. They have also presented  the new ActiveHybrid X6 and 7. For some time now everybody knew BMW works on the expanding the hybrid capability to other models going forward. The 5 would was the logical choice. Right now it is not sure whether the car will be presented next month at Detroit auto show but it is a certitude that it will come at Geneva Motor Show, in March 2010. If they do that, the car will be in production by the end of 2010. We shall get more information in the following two months.
