$2500 Renault Car

After Tata Motors shocked the auto world with a 2500 dollars car model, Renault announced a rival for Tata Nano in 2011.
The french group in partnership with the Indian car manufacturer Bajaj Auto, will found a new company that will produce a low cost car with a start price of 2500 dollars.
In the new company Bajaj Auto will have 50% and Renault and Nissan each 25%. The new car will have ULC as a code name, will 400.000 models produced each year, and will be sold in the beginning in India.
The factory where the new low-cost Renault will be assembled will be built until 2011 in Chakan, India.
