Deciding the name of a car is highly important as it can decide the picture it will have in the consumer’s mind. After they took some time to thing about it and run different market analysis, Buick has revealed the name of its next mid-size sedan. They are reusing the not-too-distant past and the brand is introducing in America the new 2010 Buick Regal. The car has a new front styling, a new rear wing and it is boosted by an air-to-air intercooled and supercharged 1.8 liter Lotus-tuned and Toyota-sourced 2ZZ-GE engine. This beautiful car will go to 60 mph in a blistering 4.1 seconds and the great thing is that the fuel economy is a rather un-supercar-like. You can get this new car home in just a few months and it will cost you $65,690.

Top Gear is one of the most loved auto TV series and they are full of creativity. They are always challenging car performances and exploiting them to the maximum. This year, Clarkson, May and Hammond arelooking for even more bombastic challenges for the its new season. You too can produce some ideas for them! Come up with a crazier stunt than the show’s producers could ever dream. To enter, contestants must propose a stunt in the form of a YouTube video due in by October 14. Five winners will be chosen and winners will receive a pair of tickets to the show of their choosing and a leather jacket signed by Clarkson, May and Hammond. Unfortunately, if you win, you have to pay for the accommodations.

There are many low-production exotic supercars that are not available in the US and many Americans dream about them. Even the great McLaren F1 came on the market with many costs. It also seems that the new McLaren MP4-12 C will come to US too but as a part of a larger plan. The company has officially announced the appointment of regional managers for both North America and Europe as well as the Middle East and Africa and this means taking a bigger responsibility on the distribution. In New York the chief will be Anthony Joseph, a former regional manager for Porsche, Ferrari and Maserati, whose first task will be the establishment of ten dealer franchises in the United States and Canada. The first deal on the work page will be to produce the new MP4-12C by the begin in the spring of 2011.

The Top Gear crew is going to prepare a special show in the 13th season and they went to the home of Vlad the Impaler for that. On the wheel of a great Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Spyder, Aston Martin DBS Volante, and Ferrari California, they will ride the impressive Transfagarasan Road that climbs over Romania’s Carpathian Mountains. And if this is not enough, you should know that the Transfagarasan road has more viaducts and tunnels than any other road in Romania. Looking forward to seeing the whole footage.

Kia 2011 Sorento CUV

Kia will soon bring in stores the brand new 2011 Sorento CUV (Crossover Utility Vehicle). This car has a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine outputting 172 horsepower or a larger 3.5-liter V6 providing a class-leading 273 horsepower. If you get it, you will also get a six-speed automatic transmission. The 2011 Sorento has increased head and legroom plus five cubic feet more in cargo capacity. Among other features we include the AM/FM/CD/MP3/Sat audio system with SIRIUS Satellite Radio capabilities, Bluetooth and AUX-in and USB input for connecting music players. The Sorento CUV will be the first car created in the Kia Motors’ state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Georgia.

Besides snatching “wows” from people with one of a kind concepts, Brabus, the German tuning company presented at Frankfurt Motor Show the new version of its electric Smart Fortwo named Unlimited High Voltage. This new model comes as an update for the elecric Smart ED concept and has a lithium ion battery pack supplied by Tesla Motors, Daimler’s electric vehicle partner. The High Voltage’s rear-mounted electric motor is also produced by Tesla and offers up 82 horsepower and 207 pound-feet of torque. This means the motor offers enough power for the car to go to 60 mph in under 10 seconds. Other features include white leather seats with yellow stitching, aerodynamic wheels with clear plexiglass covers and wider side skirts to improve airflow.

Here is the 2010, Lexus hybrid drive LS600h, part of a fresher car lineup. The car was displayed at Frankfurt and, in comparison to the updates on Prius or RX400h this one comes with a few extra goodies. I am talking about the new ECO mode that applies a filter to throttle inputs and air conditioning control and also about the small adjustments in the throttle position are ignored. Plus, according to specialists, it operates on a more constant rate, reducing fuel consumption. The air conditioning uses the recirculate mode automatically and this allows more variation in temperature. The only downfall is the small trunk. But that was in the past because now the car is reconfigured and the volume of the trunk was increased by about 1.24 cubic feet. The front brakes have also been upgraded with larger rotors and six-piston Brembo calipers.

Lotus Evora at Frankfurt Motor Show

Lotus is probably one of the most popular sports car manufacturer and there are many times when it surprised us with great cars. And here it is, with a new surprise, the racing version of its new Evora at Frankfurt Motor Show. Tagged with the Type 124 label, the cool looking sports car has a Toyota-sourced V6, which produces 280 horses in road-going spec, that has been reworked to the tune of 400 horsepower. The body panel is made of carbon-composite. The car also features 18-inch racing slicks hiding six-pot AP Racing calipers, a track-focused suspension and wings aplenty round out the package. Kia Forte Koup for $16,595

In July Kia has announced the new two-door Forte which was going to be sold in US right this summer. Now, the Korean manufacturer has just announced the price for the Koup. It seems that the pricing will begin at $16,595. ,This is a $2,900 over the base cost of the Forte Sedan and the automaker is not going head to head with Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla. But stepping to the SX model will cost you $17,695 or $18,695 with a five-speed auto (plus destination) and a 173-hp 2.4 liter four cylinder underhood. Also, if you want leather interior, you will pay an extra $1,000 and $600. for the sunroof.
