Bugatti 16C Galibier will be launched in 2013

Bugatti has received a green light from Volkswagen for the production of 16C Galibier that it will be launched in 2013. The 16C Galibier is a four-door coupe and will be powered by a 8.0-liter W16 engine that will develop 800 HP and that can run both on petrol and bio fuel.

The production of the Bugatti 16C Galibier will begin after the factory in Molsheim will be reassembled, and the price of the supercar will be 1 million euros. This decision comes following the pressure put on the Volkswagen managers by Wolfgang Duerheimer, the new CEO of Bugatti.

When that will be produced, the Bugatti 16C Galibier will be the fastest four-door model in the world. A different element to the Veyron will be the use of a eight-speed automatic transmission and a DSG transmission with torque converter.

The American magazine Forbes has made the list of most expensive cars on sale next year, based on the prices provided by all famous brands.

The most expensive car, which can be bought for 2.6 million dollars, the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport, can reach a speed of 434 km/h on track, according to the mentioned source.
The model ranked second is Koenigsegg Ager, estimated at 1.5 million dollars and reaching 100 km/h in less than three seconds.
Maybach Landaulet is third, with a price of 1.4 million dollars and a maximum speed of 447 km/h.
On the fourth and fifth places are Pagani Zonda C9, with a price of 1.3 million dollars and Hennessey Venom GT at 895,000 dollars and a top speed of 445km/h.
The 6th place is awarded to the most recent model Aero, SSC Ultimate Aero, with a price of 750,000 dollars and a maximum speed of 440 km/h.

LeBlanc Mirabeau is next, with a price of 728,000 dollars, and a top speed of 370 km/h.
The number 8 is from the top Italian brand Ferrari, with the Ferrari SA Aperta, estimated at 520,000 dollars a sprint to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds.
Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe, with a price of 447,000 dollars, ranks nine reaches 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds
Lamborghini Murcielago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce with a price of 455,400 dollars is the last and reaches 100 km in less than 3.2 seconds at a top speed is 340km/h.

It has been well hidden from the mortals’ eyes but a report from the UK’s Auto Express says that the Bugatti 16C Galibier concept is already shown to some select people at the company’s factory in Molsheim. The purpose of the show off is to get the green light for manufacturing. The concept has two-doors, mid-engine Veyron, front-engine bodystyle with bragging rights that pale only in comparison to its record-breaking forbearer: the 8.0-liter quad-turbo W16 engine would carry over, albeit detuned from its 1000+ hp output in the Veyron to “only” 800. There are also some people that say the Veyron’s purpose-built dual-clutch transmission will be replaced with a more conventional torque-converter eight-speed automatic. Rumors also say that Galibier could hit the market by 2013 with a £900,000 price tag meaning around $1.5 million.

Volkswagen’s Autostadt opened its gates on October 31 presenting a splendid mirror finish Bugatti Veyron signed by a famous Russian artist called Olaf Nicolai.

The vehicle is practically a reflective are in the middle of a mirrored room and the visitors could view their reflections on the bodykit.

For those of you who don’t know, the Volkswagen Autostadt is a 25 ha theme park that that welcomed over 2 million visitors last year and almost 17 million people since 2000.

This German park charms everyone with its museums, a custom center for new cars, feature pavilions for each Volkswagen Group, a cinema in a sphere and a guide to the evolution roads.

Bugatti Will Release Veyron Successor by 2012

We give you the Bugatti Veyron. Packing a quad-turbo W16 which can create over 1000 horsepower and reach speed of over 250 mph, this is one mean machine. But the engineers at Bugatti want to build even a bigger and better one, as if the one we had until now wasn’t enough.

Debates are taking place about the form of the new Bugatti and speculations are being thrown all over the place like drops in a rainstorm. We thought at first it was going to be a roadster, and then we heard some rumors about a four-door. It seemed that for a while a lightweight exotic was under development. The big-shots at Bugatti announced that the brand will launch a new model that will replace the Veyron in 2011 or 2012 and it seems emissions restrictions and fuel economy are words that are missing in the Bugatti dictionary, cause the new baby will live up to its predecessor.

Some other information leaks are that Bugatti is considering to go into racing, but what championship, is still unknown. Stay tuned.
