People in USA say that Dodge Challenger is the only one that gives out a mix of sport and retro look and feel. Sure, that is a personal thought and everybody can say what they want. The people at Dodge are also thinking that as they are now promoting the link to Challenger’s ’70s heritage with a new Plum Crazy Pearl Coat color option for 2010. Plum Crazy has been previously used with the Plymouth Barracuda and it was very popular. Nowadays the cars painted in Plum Crazy have a great emotional value for the collectors, and it seems that Dodge is hoping for a similar situation the second time around. You can get the crazy color on R/T (for $225) and SRT models (for $500) for 2010 and the package also includes Plum interior stitching and a Plum seat stripe on the SRT8. Plus, you can also get the Super Track Pack option for a reasonable $400 that allows the driver to fully disengage stability control (finally) and adds 245/45ZR20 tires from Goodyear along with an uprated suspension with Load Leveling and Height Control, Performance Steering and heavy-duty disc brakes.

Chrysler has just announced the new 2010 Dodge Caliber, a five-door C-segment hatchback. The great thing about this car is that it has a refined interior and Common-rail Diesel (CRD) engine to satisfy the needs of all international customers. The engine has a capacity of 2.2-liters, is Euro V capable and it produces 163 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired to a six-speed manual transmission. The car will have two World Engine versions. One is the 2.0-liter model that offers 156hp and 140 lb-ft of torque and the other one is the 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine version that offers 170hp and 162 lb-ft of torque. This new Dodge Caliber has anew design theme, with chromed accents, soft-touch premium materials and additional storage space.

This anniversary vehicle proudly wears an exquisite gold paint finish with black chrome Hurst wheels and gloss black stripes. But that’s not all! The car also boasts with a Hurst HARD-DRIVE gold anodized pistol-grip shifter, Corsa exhaust and Moton Club Sport adjustable coil-over suspension with Eibach springs and 19- and 20-inch Hurst polished aluminum wheels.

In addition to all that the interior of the Viper features special Katzkin charcoal leather with Hurst embroided logos, perforated leather inserts and gold thread details.

If you’re planning to buy one of those 50 units you should know that Hurst is offering the car in only two color versions: white with gold stripes and black with gold stripes.

The most recent model is called the Group 2 Widebody Challenger and wears the Classic Design Concepts signature. The car wears 275 and 315 series Pirelli tires and features a stainless mesh grille and aluminum hood with CDC’s cold air "shaker" system.

This SRT8 version on black will be presented in Las Vegas featuring Pypes Performance cat-back exhaust, a Vortec supercharger (560 hp), Baer brakes with 15-inch rotors and 6-piston calipers at all four corners and KW adjustable coil-over suspension.

Behind it are the guys from MOPAR Underground which will craft a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine with a six-gear manual transmission. I just love it when good things that worked in the past are kept alive, cause you know what they say: “if it’s not broke, don’t fix it”. Other goodies come our way, including coil-over suspension and strut tower brace, a dual-exhaust and cold air intake, and let’s not forget about 2 pairs of 22 inch Dodge Viper wheels. Doge will present at this event their special Dodge Ram Road/Track pick-up truck customized by Mopar. Under the hood the car will hide a new 5.7 litre HEMI V8 engine with 390hp that will make the car go from 0 to 100 km/h in no less than 5.6 seconds.

Also, the truck will have a full bodykit with aluminum hood, with carbon fiber accents and a hard tonneau with an integrated spoiler. On the inside the producer will add custom leather seats while on the outside the car will boast with 22-inch wheels and a lowered suspension.

In addition to all that the Challenger SRT8 will boast with Garrett 67 mm Ball-Bearing turbocharger, new cold air induction system, new exhaust system and high flow cylinder heads with polished combustion chambers and lowered compression ratio.

This car will make its owner proud because the 620hp model can reach 60 mph in 3.8 sec while the 650hp version can do it in only 3.6 seconds.

According to Chrysler, the engine will reach 60 mph in less than 6 seconds. Compared to a normal automatic, the torque converter allows less slip and that’s great for a pickup with less than 400 horsepower. 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 R/T features more aggressive shifts and the unique torque converter increases the fuel consumption.
