Ferrari 599 SA Aperta is a limited edition model which is only built in 80 units by the Italian car manufacturer. The SA Aperta is a roadster Ferrari, based on the 599 model. The letters SA originate from the names of Serios Pininfarina and Andrea Pininfarina. As for Aperta, it means open in the Italian language. This model has a soft top roof which is removable manually and the engine is a 6L V12 which gives you 661HP (493KW). The maximum torque of this model stands at 620Nm (around 457 lb ft). This engine’s power is the same as the model found on the series 599 GTO from Ferrari.

The Ferrari 599 SA Aperta has a total weight of 1.7 tons and it can reach the 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds from the start. As for the car’s maximum speed, this model can reach 325 km/h (202 mph). It seems that all the cars have been bought already, all 80 of them.

Ferrari unveiled the new FF

The Ferrari officials unveiled the first images and technical information for the new FF. This is the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti replacement, and is also the most practical Ferrari in history. Besides, the new FF (acronym for Ferrari Four) is the first Italian-wheel drive car. The model is powered by a V12 engine with direct injection, which has a displacement of 6262 cc and has a maximum power of 660 HP at 8,000 rpm. The maximum torque of the V12 unit at 65 degrees is 683 Nm and comes at 6,000 rpm. The average fuel consumption is estimated at 15.4 liters per 100 km, while the CO2 emissions are 360 grams per km. The Ferrari FF is capable of a maximum speed of 335 km/h.

The innovative all-wheel drive system from Ferrari is 50% lighter than the conventional one and maintains a ideal weight distribution for a car. Through this system, the new Ferrari Four offers maximum performance regardless of the weather conditions. The Ferrari Four is equipped with the new generation of electromagnetic shock SCM3 and a braking system with carbon and ceramic items made by Brembo.

The FF can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds, thanks to the remarkable power and the ratio of 2.7 kg per horsepower. Due to optimal weight distribution, the FF promises to provide an exceptional level of maneuverability. Being the most practical model Ferrari ever made, the FF offers a trunk volume of 400 liters (800 can be expanded by folding the rear seat) and can accommodate four passengers. The exterior can be painted in six specific colors.
The Ferrari Four debut will take place at the Geneva Motor Show.

The American magazine Forbes has made the list of most expensive cars on sale next year, based on the prices provided by all famous brands.

The most expensive car, which can be bought for 2.6 million dollars, the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport, can reach a speed of 434 km/h on track, according to the mentioned source.
The model ranked second is Koenigsegg Ager, estimated at 1.5 million dollars and reaching 100 km/h in less than three seconds.
Maybach Landaulet is third, with a price of 1.4 million dollars and a maximum speed of 447 km/h.
On the fourth and fifth places are Pagani Zonda C9, with a price of 1.3 million dollars and Hennessey Venom GT at 895,000 dollars and a top speed of 445km/h.
The 6th place is awarded to the most recent model Aero, SSC Ultimate Aero, with a price of 750,000 dollars and a maximum speed of 440 km/h.

LeBlanc Mirabeau is next, with a price of 728,000 dollars, and a top speed of 370 km/h.
The number 8 is from the top Italian brand Ferrari, with the Ferrari SA Aperta, estimated at 520,000 dollars a sprint to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds.
Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe, with a price of 447,000 dollars, ranks nine reaches 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds

The Swiss designer Franco Sbarro has a long history of modifying Ferrari cars. One of the greatest was the Super 8. It was based on 308 GTB. The designer did everything to convert the 365 GT4 into a Mille Miglia spyder. He gave the 550 Maranello the wide-body treatment. Among the most intriguing of his projects, there was the Alcador series. He presented the first Alcador at Geneva salon in 1995. Now he brings at Essen, in Germany its new creation called Lista Office. It is the latest project and it is based on the 80s-era Testarossa, packing its 450hp 5-liter boxer 12. It looks amazing.

Ferrari retail shop at Nürburgring

Besides the fact that Felipe Massa is on the podium first time in this season, Ferrari has another reason to celebrate. They have opened a store at Nürburgring. It is a huge retail facility right next to the famed racing circuit. The store is the first near a track race that the company has in Germany. If you make an exception of the store they have at Maranello close to the Fiorano circuit. The designed store has 240 square meters of space and has a great deal of retail space for the Ferrari’s growing range of merchandise, a lounge that overlooks the track, and also a business conference room. Inside, there is an F1 on display.

Let’s start to dream big again about Formula 1. Let’s take a look at the new Vincent Montreuil’s flying Ferrari concept. It has twin turbo engines and looks amazing. Instead using the race car standbys carbon fiber or titanium, the Montreuil’s Ferrari X-Racer has been made of pure unobtainium. On the outside it has a lot of crazy specs and, in the rear, a glowing orifice that exhaust the twin turbostator engines.
Maybe the human body can not stand a ride faster than the speed of sound but there is no problem in dreaming about it. It could be the coolest ride in the world.

California Spyder’s 50th Celebration

One of the most beautiful cars by Ferrari is without any doubt the 250 GT California Spyder, the star of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off movie.

This year will be the Spyder’s 50th anniversary and the event will be organized by Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Here will be presented all six cars produced over the time and displayed on the 18^th fairway. Of course the original prototype will be present lighting up the room next to a competition version that ran at Sebring and Le Mans.

Fioravanti Coachbuilt Ferrari F430

There’s a rumor in the city that says that a new Ferrari was spotted at the Fiorano test track. According to some people this is the successor of the Enzo or the F430 but nothing is for sure. On the other hand it could be a customized F430 that Fioravanti made especially for a very rich customer.

Fioravanti is not the first company to make such creations. I’s predecessors were Giugiaro, Pininfarina, and Zagato. If you have enough money you can customize you car as you like except for the crash structures and the running gear.

The car in question features a heavily-modified rear section, a mildly re-sculpted front end, and a remolding of some body panels in carbon fiber. As you can see the car is almost ready and we can only hope to see it in October at the Paris show.

Ferrari Grand Tourer

After the Ferrari officials denied its production, with only Luca di Montezemolo saying a few words about the model, the Italian car manufacturer launched today the site that confirms the production of the cheapest Ferrari in history. Even more, today we found out the name of the model: Grand Tourer (GT) – until today the most probably name given by the press was Dino.

Ferrari Grand Tourer will be official launched on May 20, the day that we will see the first official pictures of the model.

Until now, it is known that the new Grand Tourer will be powered by a V6 engine (not a V8 that the press wrote) and will cost around 110.000 Euros, becoming the cheapest model in Ferrari history. This model will not reduce from Ferrari’s exclusive image and will be produced in a limited series of 4000 per year.
