The Korean car manufacturer will launch at the Paris Motor Show its own alternative form small family car segment, the ix20, whose photos were disclosed today by Autocar.

The Asian model adopted a design line introduced by his elder brother, ix35, which means that we are dealing with a hexagonal front grille, a new optical block and substantial changes on the interior.

Expected to be launched in mid November on the European market, the ix20 promises the best value for money in the segment and will have a big list of facilities. We are talking about air conditioning, start-stop system, ESP, Bluetooth connectivity, side airbags, all offered in the standard package. The new Hyundai ix20 will be also a safe car, and is expected to get five stars on the EuroNCAP tests.

The range of engines will include 1.4-liter petrol and diesel engines with 90 HP. The diesel engine will have CO2 emissions of only 114 g/km and an average consumption of only 3.6 liters/100 km. The list of engines will include a high end petrol engine with 125 HP.

Hyundai 2011 Sonata will be sold in dealerships from North America for the price of $19,195.

The new Hyundai 2011 Sonata will be on sale in dealerships in North America in just a few weeks and now we know the price tag. The “fluidic design” new challenger stakes a claim in the biggest segment in the U.S., and its price beings at $19,195. At this price tag you must add $720 for destination and delivery. The GLS sedan with a six-speed manual transmission is $500 more than the base 2010 model, but $200 less than the current class champion, the Camry. For your money you will get manual or automatic six-speed gearbox. The GLS and Limited are rated at 198 horsepower while the dual exhaust on the SE rounds it up to a nice round 200 hp. Plus, the car’s manual transmission GLS tops the segment in fuel economy for non-hybrids with a rating of 24 mpg city and 35 mpg highway.

Kia is preparing us its first ever two doors “Koup”. It is an alternative to the Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla in America. The car producer has confirmed that it will hit dealerships this summer. The sheetmetal look is quite attractive and it has a 104.3-inch wheelbase. This new car is a bit lower than the four-door but Kia says it will behave great on the roads. Other features include the sixteen-inch alloy wheels and also the speed-sensitive power steering. They are standard features. Kia Koup has the same engine options like the sedan version: 2.0-liter with 156 horsepower and 144 lb-ft of torque. Also, there is a five-speed manual or even a four-speed automatic. The SX has a 2.4-liter mill with 173 horsepower and 168 lb-ft torque. For this you can choose between a five-speed automatic or a six-speed manual. All the Koup versions have Bluetooth connectivity, six-speaker AM/FM/CD/MP3 audio system, power windows, air conditioning, cruise control and also tilt steering. Want more? Soon!

Hyundai has released a few plans for the first-ever hybrid automobile which will be made for the U.S. market. The hybrid’s design will be based on the 2011 midsize Sonata sedan. People say that this is not the only version of a fuel-saver the Korean manufacturer has for us. Automotive News says that Yang Woong-chul, the president of R&D for Hyundai-Kia Motors has previously stated that his company will turn to a more aggressive strategy towards the hybrid market. Hyundai wants to launch the new sporty plug-in electric car on the Seoul Motor Show right this year. The car is based on the Blue-Will concept. It will have a 1.6-liter gasoline direct-injected power plant and also a 100kw electric motor. Soon we will see this car on the roads.
