Mazda has announced that its new compact crossover will be called CX-5 and will debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show this autumn. The CX-5 is derived from the Mazda Minagi concept – presented at this year’s Geneva Motor Show. Moreover, the new CX-5 will be presented at New York Auto Show, which means that the new Mazda model will be seen as early as April 20.

CX-5 is the first production model which incorporates the Kodo design – Soul of the Movement and bearing the new design theme of Mazda, theme presented with the SHINARI concept. With Shinari, Mazda introduced the SKYACTIV technologies, involving a new generation of engines, transmissions, body and chassis. The new CX-5 will enter the global range of Mazda in 2012 along with all technologies presented above.

As you know, the name of the CX signifies the crossovers range of Mazda, which includes the CX-7 and CX-9. While the CX-7 is on the market for several years and has already received a facelift, and CX-9 will be the biggest models, the new CX-5 will be the smallest model in the range.

The Mazda stand, hosted by the number 81 edition of the Geneva Motor Show, will give the public an opportunity to see live the new concept, Minagi, which will be a compact crossover. According to an official press release published by the Asian manufacturer, the Minagi concept is a starting point for a new aesthetic and technological era.

The Mazda Minagi concept is proposing to combine the Kodo design, a new philosophy developed in the creation laboratories of Mazda. Basically, the concept is built around the principle Skyactiv, both the engine and the transmission bearing the eco signature of the Japanese brand. The Skyactiv ideas are found also in the chassis and body, which will impress with the low total weight and the the safety offered.
The Mazda stand at Geneva Motor Show 2011 will also include the well-known concept Shinari.

Mazda wants to raise the quality bar in the pick-up segment and is trying to offer a viable alternative to SUVs and 4×4 models.  Although it is a pick-up developed for the harshest conditions, the BT-50 promises a level of comfort similar to that offered by a normal car, but with maximum utility for any difficult task. Both materials and technological elements which make up this model promise to transform the BT-50 in the class leader.

Mazda officials did not reveal any technical details about their new model, but given the fact that the BT-50 is built on the same platform as the Ford Ranger, we expect that the Mazda BT-50 will also be available with two diesel engines and also benefit from the new electronically controlled gearbox. There will be further engine versions available: with rear wheel drive and four wheel drive.

A bad routing of wires can cause a short-circuit activating the power-adjustment mechanism and this happens only at models built during 2007 and 2009. If the problem persists it can modify the seating position and sometimes it can even cause the seat to move while the car is in motion.

The manufacturer announced that starting with the 9^th of March the problem will be solved by dealers everywhere.

For the time being we don’t know what exactly lies under that sexy exterior but one thing is for sure: if it shares the same details as the outgoing model then this is the dream car you’ve been waiting all your life.

According to the manufacturer the newest Mazda MPS model will be introduced to the public at the Geneva Motor Show sporting a direct injected, turbocharged 2.3-liter four engine.

The design was inspired by the ‘Zoom-zoom’ vision and the result will be a lightweight urban compact concept vehicle. The car will hide under the hood a four-cylinder direct-injection engine and this can be translated in low CO2 emissions and fuel economy.

If this goes to mass production we’ll have a tiny but safe monster running the streets.

Mazda will also be present with their new Mazda3 sedan. This car resembles a lot to the Mazda 6 because it features the same swept back headlamps, gaping air dam and flared wheel arches.

The car will be available in two versions: one for Europe and one for US. The first one will let you choose the gasoline powerplants ranging from 1.4- to 2.0-liters, along with 1.6- and 2.2-liter oilburners while the US model will use an engine from 2.0- to 2.5-liters.

Mazda3 will be available on the market starting January 2009.

On August 26th at the Moscow International Auto Show the beautiful Mazda Kazamai will make its great entrance.

The car uses the Zoom-Zoom technology and this means that it combines an environment-friendly engine and a sporty look with safety. What more can you wish for in a car?

The Kazamai’s owner will enjoy without any doubt a strong car with 22” wheels, a direct injection engine and a four wheel drive. From the outside it looks very small but that’s mainly because the roof in very low. Even so you’ll be glad to hear that it will be accompanied at the show by the 2008 North American Truck of the Year- SUV CX-9.
