Arrinera – the first Polish supercar

The Poles from Arrinera presented the first images of their future supercar, which has not yet received a name. The model is inspired by Lamborghini and has a tubular steel chassis and a body reinforced with Kevlar carbon fiber. In the interior, the model will have carbon fiber trim, aluminum accents and high-quality leather upholstery. The official presentation of the model will take place in June, and the new Arrinera model will be available in a convertible version.

The motoring of the the Polish supercar is provided by GM, with a 6.2-liter LS1 V8 propeller. The engine has received an Eaton supercharger and develops 647 HP and 819 Nm, according to the Poles officials. The supercar transmission has not yet been revealed, and its mass is still a mystery. The are chances that the new sportive model will weigh less than 1.5 tons. The pre-production version of this supercar will be tested during 2012.

Aprilia’s Shiver 750

Aprilia is a big name in the moto industry and for quite some time people were afraid that it will cease to exist. But the new Aprilia’s Shiver 750 is here. The engineers say that the new model has been pushed over the limits. But the platform is a sound one. Aprilia gave this bike many cool updates that are preparing the model to go against standard-bearing Monster line from Ducati. Among these functional changes there is the rider footpegs that are placed further back and higher up than before. The moto is coupled with a handlebar that’s lower and further forward. The person sits in a very sporty position. The seat height has been lowered by .2 inches. Also, the rear wheel’s width goes down half an inch to 5.5 inches making it snappier. All in all it looks classically Italian.

BMW Bike

Like many other automakers, the German company BMW has done a lot of research and development on hydrogen fuels. But they have also focused all their efforts on the liquid hydrogen with internal combustion engines. A group of design S, France felt no such constraints and they have designed a special BMW badged motorcycle powered by a hydrogen fuel cell with a lithium polymer battery for electrical energy storage. The hydrogen is stored in a 20-liter cryogenic tank mounted where the engine would normally sit, with a suspension consisting of single-sided swing arms front and rear. Propulsion comes via a shaft drive system from the 100 kilowatt motor.

$220,000 Tata Nano

DC Designs has created a lot of rumour at this week’s Auto Expo 2010. Besides unveiling the Imperator and Ying Yang concepts, this Mumbai-based will produce the most expensive Tata Nano, set to worth 10 million rupee, which is about $220,000. They plan to overhaul the budget runabout, replacing all the body panels, brakes, suspension and interior components, along with fitting 20-inch wheels. They also want to change the 33 horsepower, 624cc engine with a 1.6-liter mill that’s able to propel the five-seat hatch to a maximum speed of 124 mph. They expect people from Bollywood to be interested in this project, and also the ones that are passionate about cars.

2010 Buick LaCrosse pricing

Buick really surprised a lot of people with the 2010 LaCrosse announcement. They launched with a pair of V6 engines and now the superb car is quite ready to start offering a LaCrosse CX model with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine. This direct injected unit was presented with the new Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain last summer. When this car will go on sale next summer its price will be $26,995 (*including delivery). It is $840 less than the current 3.0-liter V6 powered CX model in the driveway. You should also expect reduced operating costs for the four. Plus, the new 2.4-liter LaCrosse is slated to arrive in dealers in the first quarter of 2010.

New Buick 2011 Regal

General Motors threw a super gala for a super car. At one of Hollywood’s most iconic theaters, the Palladium, GM revealed Buick 2011 Regal. The Palladium superb theater was beautifully decorated and the car looked amazing. The new Regal is sophisticated and has a special allure and elegance. The new Regal has presence. Among the special guests it was: VP of U.S. sales Susan Docherty, head of global design Ed Welburn and, of course, Maximum Bob Lutz. “The 2011 Buick Regal is the next step in transforming Buick,” Lutz said to a big crowd of GMC customers invited at the show.

Chevrolet Camaro is a pain in the heart for many people who fell in love with this car. Let’s take a look at Z28, that is now getting an interesting viral campaign through social networks like Facebook. Here is a picture of the new Chevrolet Camaro Z28 is sitting on the floor at SEMA. Many people are wondering if there is a LSA engine under the hood. LSA is the same engine that powers the mighty Cadillac CTS-V. With LSA the car gets 556 hp and 551 lb-ft of torque. Pretty cool right? The Z28 will probably be slightly de-tuned so that it keeps the outdated look and feel. We’ll keep an eye for more information on this topic.

2010 GMC Terrain at $24,999 this September

The 2010 GMC Terrain will roll out of the GM assembly facility in Ontario and go into dealerships in September. The sticker price for this car will be $24,999. This price includes a $745 destination charge. This sum will provide the future GMC Terrain owners with a direct injected four-cylinder engine that produces 182 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque. Also, this engine can deliver an EPA-estimated 32 miles per gallon on a highway. Besides that, the least expensive version of this car will have a price of $26,745. The standard safety package includes the OnStar Service, six airbags and StabiliTrak vehicle stability control. Every GMC Terrain will have a rear-view camera system, an audio system with USB connectivity, XM satellite radio and six-speaker AM/FM/CD. All for the sum of $29,995.

Chang’An’s Shanghai Crossover Concept

The Shanghai Motor Show is getting ready to open its gates and welcome its visitors. According to a short press release, at this year’s edition Chang’An will present a new crossover electric concept also known as the e301.

The information about the specs list is apparently a well-known secret, at least until now but the picture below shows a car that resembles a lot to the Citroen family.

When you look at the e301’s front and rear fascias you cannot feel a Hypnos breeze coming your way while the doors are very similar to the ones on the 2006 C-Metisse.

Despite all this the e301 looks rather nice but until we find out more about pricing and availability we can’t say anything for sure.

Scorpion Motorsports’ Prodigy Trike

Let’s take a break from the classic cars a pay some attention to the amazing world of tricycles. The new Prodigy from Scorpion Motorsports is a thrill ride on a powerful Hayabusa engine.

The photo pretty much speaks for itself. As you can see the trike sports a single wheel but this doesn’t endanger its stability even a little bit. On a skidpad the Scorpion scores 1.5g and that’s great on today’s market.

Last but not least, the Scorpion Motorsports Prodigy P6 will set you back no less than $40,000 but that’s ok considering that the trick will go to 60mph in only 3.3-seconds.
