Bentley is one of the most acclaimed manufacturers of luxury sedans on the planet. The British luxury cars can only be exceeded by Rolls-Royce, but Bentley is superior in the performance Chapter. The Bentley Continental Flying Spur Speed is powered by an six liter engine that develops 610 HP at 6,000 rpm and 750 Nm. The maximum speed is 322 km / h and the acceleration from 0-100 km / h is done in 4.8 seconds.

2. Alpina B5 Bi-Turbo

Alpina is the semi-official tuner of BMW. Alpina cars are BMW models taken to a higher level of performance. Everything is done in collaboration with BMW. The Alpina B5 Bi-Turbo uses a 4.4-liter V8 engine plus two turbines. The obtained power is 507 HP at 5,500 rpm. The maximum torque is 700 Nm and the transmission is provided by an eight-speed automatic gearbox. The maximum speed is 307 km / h, and the acceleration from 0-100 km is achieved h 4.7 seconds.

3. Porsche Panamera Turbo S

The most powerful version of the Panamera is called Turbo S and uses a 4.8 liter V8 engine. The maximum power is 550 HP at 6,000 rpm and a torque of 700 Nm. No Porsche is slow, but the Panamera Turbo S offers some impressive numbers for a four-door sedan. The maximum speed: 306 km/h, acceleration 0-100 km/h in 3.8 seconds with the SportChrono package. The transmission is provided with an automatic gearbox with double PDK clutch with 7-speed.

4. Aston Martin Rapide

Aston Martin could not remain outside of this select club of very fast sedan. And thus created the Rapide model. And they managed to create a highly dynamic sedan designed in the purest Aston Martin style. For the Aston Martin Rapide, the British engineers have used a 5.9 liter V12 engine located in front. The delivered power is 477 HP at 6,000 rpm. The maximum torque is 600 Nm at 5,000 rpm. The acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is achieved in 5.2 seconds, and the top speed is 295 km/h.

5. Alpina B3S Bi-Turbo

The second BMW Alpina in the top is a model built on the 3 Series. The B3S Bi-Turbo, is one of the best models produced by Alpina. This model uses the six-cylinder engine of three liters. Is again applied to two turbines for the power supplied is 400 HP at 6,000 rpm. The maximum torque is 540 Nm at 5400 rpm. The gearbox is automatic and has six steps. The maximum speed is 300 km/h and the acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is achieved in 4.7 seconds.

Porsche has released the first images and technical details of the new 911 GT3 Cup, a superior version of the already known GT3 RS, dedicated only for the races. The extreme version will be used in national and international competitions in the 2012 and 2013 seasons.

The new improved version offers a slightly larger fuel tank with a capacity of 100 liters, enough to prolong the race experience with several tours. A new braking system approved by Porsche and called PCCB Carboceramic is also available but only for the German championship.

The power will be supplied by the same 3.8-liter petrol engine with six cylinders, capable of developing 450 HP, similar resources with the street version, the GT3 RS. The GT3 Cup comes, however, with a new exhaust system and a new catalytic converter.

The new Porsche 911 GT3 Cup will be available for the independent teams from September this year, at a price of 161,750 euros. The German car manufacturer expects that the new version will attract as many orders as its predecessors, which totaled 2,200 customers so far.

Porsche announced a few months ago that they are developing a number of prototypes which use the Boxter model as a basis and that they will be electric models. The only information released at that time was that the electric engines will offer 241HP.

They’ve let a couple of more details slip last week and we now know that one of the prototypes uses all wheel drive, while the others come with rear wheel drive.

The Boxter with AWD will have two electric engines onboard, one for each axle of the car, and the total power is 241HP, with a maximum of 12,000 rpm and a 540Nm torque.

The other two models will have an engine mounted on the rear axle which offers 121HP and a torque of 270Nm. Their 0 to 60 mph sprint is doable in 9.8 seconds, with a speed of up to 150km/h.

The battery which will come installed on these prototypes will allow the model to go for over 100 miles, though it weighs a quite hefty 341 kg (750 pounds). The full weight of the car goes up to 1,600 kg. It takes 9 hours to charge the battery.

The Porsche Cayman S Black Edition also comes with 19 inch rims, the same ones that come with the Boxter Spyder. This model has headlights with bi-xenon, a steering wheel with a Sport design and the seats have black leather on them.

Porsche prepares the launch of the fastest sedan in its history. It is the the Panamera Turbo S, a version that according to unofficial sources will be launched next month. Although the information is not official, we may see the derivative of the top Porsche model at the Shanghai Motor Show or the New York motor Show, both scheduled next month.

The first speculation announced 50 extra horsepower for the V8 bi-turbo of 4.8-liter that will power the Porsche Turbo S model. The torque will also climb up to 800 Nm. This resources will allow the four seats sportive car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in about 3.8 seconds and to reach a top speed of 303 km/h.
If the rumors are true and the new Panamera Turbo S will debut next month, the first models will be sold in June or July.

Porsche announced today that the 918 Spyder prototype, presented in world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show 2010, will enter the mass production. Porsche will produce only 918 units of its ultrasportive hybrid model at a price of 645,000 euros excluding taxes.

The Porsche 918 Spyder will have two seats and a propulsion system consisting of a 500 HP and V8 engine accompanied by two electrical units (one on each axis) which together can develop 218 HP. The batteries that are supplying the German supercar can be loaded into an outlet.

The hybrid system is unprecedented in the auto industry. Thus, although the average consumption of the Porsche Spyder 918 will be only 3.0 litres/100 km, the model will have top performances: 3.2 seconds for 0-100 km/h, and a maximum speed 320 km/h. In electric-only regime, the new Porsche 918 Spyder can run on a range of 25 kilometers, at a maximum speed of 150 kilometers per hour.

Porsche confirmed today that the Cayenne SUV will have a compact brother, and the name will be Cajun. The new Porsche Cajun – which will compete with the BMW X3 and the Mercedes GLK in performance chapter- will be manufactured in the German factory in Leipzig, where the German car manufacturer is producing the Cayenne and Panamera models.
“Our factory in Leipzig has proven that it can produce top quality vehicles. The decision to choose this factory is a evidence of confidence in the skills and talent of our employees in Leipzig” said Matthias Muller, the president of Porsche in an official statement.
The Porsche Cajun aims to attract younger customers into the Stuttgart brand, the brand’s future compact SUV is seen as a higher alternative to the Boxster, the entry-level model of Porsche. The Porsche Cajun will be officially launched on the market in 2013, and the presentation will take place probably in two years’ edition of the Geneva Motor Show.

Early next year, Porsche will return to the Detroit Motor Show, after an absence of four years. The event will be very important for the U.S. market, for which, the Stuttgart manufacturer is preparing a spectacular surprise.

Hans-Gerd Bode, a spokesman for Porsche, said: “We have something special for the Motor Show in Detroit. Just be patient and prepare to be surprised.” Bode also confirmed that the the Porsche along with Audi, Bentley and Volkswagen will present their cars in the first day reserved for the press, 10 January.

The last year when Porsche was present in Detroit was 2007, and preferred to concentrate its resources for the the Los Angeles Motor Show, where the new Cayman R was launched this year.
The return of Porsche to Detroit reaffirms the importance of this Auto Show for the luxury car manufacturers, according to experts. Porsche will try to get close to potential customers and confirm the importance of the U.S. market, where he delivered a quarter of last year production.

918 Spyder is the newest moder from Carrera and will be presented at Geneva.

Porche provides the best of both worlds with exclusive with the 918 Spyder concept scheduled to debut tomorrow at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show. It looks like Carrera GT evolved, and boosts a 500-horsepower V8 and a pair of electric motors, plus producing an additional 218 hp or 160kW. At full gallop, the concept can theoretically reach 62 mph in 3.2 seconds and nip 198 mph on the high end. On the flip side, Porsche says it can also achieve 78 miles per gallon and emit just 70 grams of CO2 per kilometer. This super car is a parallel hybrid. It has two powertrains, gas and electric, can operate together or separately to motivate the wheels into motion. The Sport Hybrid mode again uses both powertrains, but tips the needle a bit more towards performance with most power reaching the rear wheels. The concept will debut at Geneva these days.

2010 Porche Panamera will get a fine tuning from speedArt at Essen Motor Show.

The Essen Motor Show is just a few days away and it looks like it will bring great cars. This is the German version of SEMA and one of the companies that have signed in for an appearance is speedArt. They will be introducing the new performance and appearance packages for the 2010 Porsche Panamera. Using the Panamera Turbo as a base, speedArt transformed Porsche’s four-door into a 650-horsepower monster. All that is thanks to larger turbochargers, an upgraded exhaust system and also revised ECU. The German company says the car will reach a top speed of over 200 mph and 0-100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds. The body kit fitted to the PS9-650 is fairly subtle and quite tasteful. Other items available include: 22-inch forged wheels, various trim pieces in aluminum, wood, an upholstered steering wheel, or carbon fiber, and color-matched stitching.
