Not only the Fiat group is struggling to keep alive a car manufacturer. The same thing is Volkswagen trying, although has repeatedly threatened that it could finally renounce at the Seat brand. The Spanish brand is obliged to return to profit, the current president already announcing a major revolution in the 2011-2012 period.

The first phase of the restructuring process will be consumed in autumn this year, at the Frankfurt Motor Show, where SEAT will celebrate the return of a model in the compact segment. The Seat Leon is expected a new generation at the German Motor show, information confirmed by the Martorell officials.

The first information talk about the design details inspired by the current generation of Ibiza as or the IBe concept presented last fall at the Paris Motor Show. Under the sporty bodywork of the Seat Leon will hide the current Volkswagen Golf 6 platform, which will allow Spanish compact to be offered in three body styles: five-door, three-door and wagon.

The IBX Concept is not the first prototype of this type presented by Seat, which is actually a descendant of the Seat Tribu Concept presented in Frankfurt in 2007 but who has not go beyond the concept stage. Obviously, the IBX Concept comes with some visual changes who were taken especially from the latest Seat concepts, like IBE (presented at the Geneva Motor Show last year).

Although there is no official information about the new Seat concept, we can observe that the IBX dimensions remind the Ford Kuga and Volkswagen Tiguan, which means that the future SUV of Seat will compete directly with these models on the compact SUV segment.

The Seat Ibiza SC Sport Limited is painted in orange, the traditional Lamborghini color and has 17 inch black alloy rims. The exterior sport package is completed by an rear deflector incorporating two exhaust pipes with trapezoidal form, side skirts and new air intakes.

To contrast with the body color, Seat painted the mirror housings and roof in black, like the rims. The orange color is transmitted in the interior, where we can find it on the door handle, on the gear knob and on the air vents.
The list of the features of the limited edition includes sport seats, aluminum pedals, rain sensors and rear parking.

The new designed car has a new front spoiler, roof spoiler, side skirts, sport radiator grill, headlight eyebrows and a carbon fiber rear bumper. They also added special matte black acrylic sheets, center-mounted trapezoidal tailpipe and LSD wing doors next to some 35 mm lowered springs and 17 /18 inch JE Design wheels.

Under the hood, the new Seat Ibiza SportCoupe hides now a 1.9 TDI engine with 130 hp that can reach 100km/h in only 10 seconds and boasts with a 198 km/h top speed.

While they denied that the Seat Bocanegra will become the top model of the Ibiza series, we just found out the opposite. The Seat Bocanegra will enter production, and will be the top model of the Ibiza series.

The reactions it got when it was presented as a concept were a large part of the decision to put it into production.
