In-dash Blu Ray Player From Mitsubishi
For 2009 Mitsubishi Electric Corporation (MEC) is planning to offer a 1 DIN Blu-ray DVD player. This Linux-enabled unit is 1/3 smaller than a classic Blu-ray player but even so it’s bigger than the standard dash slot. Apparently it will play nice with in-car navigation systems and will be Windows friendly because Microsoft is in charged with the navigation software.
The device will be able to play BD-RE, BD-R and BD-ROM discs and will be bundled to a TV tuner. This latter will display digital terrestrial broadcasts at almost 120 mph.
