Mazda 1 concept
Mazda is preparing a big surprise for the Paris Auto Show in October this year. The Japanese car manufacturer intends to disclose publicly the concept that will provide the foundation for future model Mazda1, a small car oriented to young and enthusiastic audience, always attracted by futuristic design.
Today, the Asians have revealed the first sketch of the concept Mazda1, the future star of the Japanese stand in Paris, which will borrow from the lines of already well-known design of Nagare.
According to Peter Birthwhistle, chief designer at Mazda European Centre for Research and Development, the concept will have chairs and sliding doors and will reveal to the public a look much more radical than the anticipated sketch.
"The vehicle will target a young audience and will benefit from modern technology such as iPod and Bluetooth connection or satellite navigation. Moreover, Mazda1 will be a environmental vehicle" added Birthwhistle.
Mazda officials have also said that august this year the public will be able to admire at the Moscow Auto Fair a new SUV based on Ford Kuga and in the spring of 2009 the new RX-7, all inspired by Nagare design.
