New Porsche Turbo

Date: 7 Aug 2009 Comments: 0

For some time now, people talked about how Porsche Turbo is too slow. So it seems that the car maker decided to boost up Turbo’s performance in 2010. This doesn’t mean just boosting the power. The guys at Porche say that it will be a complete character change that include less weight, RWD bias and a cool new sporting character. They also say that they will give up on the 3.6-liter six and they will introduce a new 3.8-liter directed injected flat-six motor from Carrera S. It will have two variable-vane turbos and will also increase the mileage from 22.1 mpg to 24.1 mpg.  The Porsche Traction Management system will also be reprogrammed to distribute torque between the front and rear differentials via an electric multi-plate clutch. The new car will be a coupe and cabriolet at a price of $132,800 and $143,800. It will be presented in September at the Frankfurt Auto Show and will get on the market in 2010 in US and Germany.
