Opel Astra Gets To The 10 Million Mark

Launched 17 years ago, in 1991, the Opel Astra replaced at that time the Opel Kadett model. Now, it’s the model with the most success of all the Opel cars, and it’s produced in 10 different factories all over the world, in countries like Belgium, UK, Germany, Russia, Ukraine, Serbia and Brazil.

And now, Opel announced that the 10 millionth Astra was built at the Bochum auto plant in Germany. The 10 million car was a Silver Lightning Astra Station Wagon 1.7 CDTI. The current generation sold over 1.9 million cars since 2004.
