Peugeot announces the new 308 GTi

Peugeot has officially announced today the come back in the hatchback segment with the new version GTi of the 308 model. The new model promises exciting performance and economic characteristics and will become one important option for those  those who want a sporty hatchback.

The new Peugeot 308 GTi will be powered by an 1.6 liters THP engine that develops 200 HP, which puts the French model in second place in the hatchback segment, behind Volkswagen Golf GTi (211 HP). The engine is an absolute novelty and was released a few months ago on new coupe of Peugeot, the RCZ.

According to technical data provided by the manufacturer, the new 308 GTi hits 100 km/h in 7.7 seconds, while the maximum speed is 237 km/h. The most interesting figures of The Peugeot 308 GTi, however, are those related to consumption: 6.9 liters/100 km in mixed consumption (9.2 liters urban and 5.5 liters extra urban), and the CO2 emissions are at a level of 159 g/km.
