Skoda will launch the new low cost model in Moscow
Skoda has taken seriously the debut on low-cost segment, currently dominated by the Dacia Logan. The Czech engineers worked very hard and completed the development of a new model that will rival the Romanian model.
The new Skoda low cost model will be launched at the Moscow Motor Show at the end of this month. Skoda wants to launch the new model in Moscow because is trying to reaffirm its interest in the Russian market.
The new Skoda Sedan is based on the new Volkswagen Polo sedan and will replace the current Skoda Octavia Tour on some markets. The new Skoda Sedan will be available with engines of 1.4 and 1.6 liter on gasoline, but also with the 1.6 liter TDI diesel.
The list of safety features will be quite poor, and the equipment will remain modest. Skoda relies on providing an interior space sufficiently large with a total length of 4.5 meters, and the reliability that has become a tradition for the Czech brand.
The new Škoda Sedan low cost could get the Felicia name, after Skoda abandoned it several years ago.
