Mini might present at the Auto Show in Frankfurt a concept that could anticipate the future Roadster series, a model based on the current Cooper Cabrio.

According to the speculations, Mini will present a more sportive version than Mini Cabrio, with two seats and a retractable roof. The new Mini Roadster will be powered by gasoline and diesel engines of 1.6 liters and 211 HP.

If Mini will present the new Roadster concept in Frankfurt, we can expect that the version series will be launched at the beginning of 2010. Other details about production are currently unknown, but because of the congestion in the Oxford factory, Mini could produce the new Roadster at the Austrian factory in Magna Steyr, as in the case of Crossman SUV.
