Volvo Announced A ‘Micro-Hybrid’ For 2011
Volvo is getting ready to announce a new eco-friendly vehicle that will join the DRIVe trio of ultra-efficient diesel-powered models on the market. According to some rumors, this new highly-efficient car will helps us all breathe cleaner air because it will comply with all current emissions regulations.
This all-new micro-hybrid vehicle will hit the stores in 2011 and will offer a choice between gasoline or diesel power and a manual or automatic transmission. Also it will boast with fuel-saving technology that will cut the consumption by 5% thanks to its brake-energy regeneration and start-stop system.
If everything goes according to plan Volvo will release an electric powered full hybrid in 2012 and a plug-in electric afterwards.
